This past year had some special trips and memories.

I had been waiting for days for high clouds on the coast to add color to the sunset. This day I got what I was waiting for.

Some highlights were:
• backpacking Coyote Gulch in Utah
• trekking the Cordillera Huayhuash route in Peru
• backpacking the Tablelands area of Sequoia National Park
• sunsets on the local coast around Oceanside
• backpacking a portion of the Sierra High Route (remote and challenging!)
• and more…

I am grateful to my friends that have spent the time traveling to these and other wonderful places with me this past year! Thank you!

Eastern Sierra and Death Valley

Last week I took a photography centric road trip. Each day I visited a different location. My trip included stops along the eastern Sierra between Mammoth Lakes and Lone Pine and then a few days exploring some locations in Death Valley.
