Palomar Mountain State Park

In mid-March, I hiked with a few friends in Palomar Mountain State Park. It was a foggy, drizzly day, just right for some photos. I love the forest trails in this park.

Woodpecker Storage
The holes in the downed tree were drilled by woodpeckers that like to store their acorns in these holes.

Kitchen Creek Falls

The other day, I went for a hike at Kitchen Creek Falls in eastern San Diego County. I went early in the day and had the trail and falls almost completely to myself. Due to recent rains the falls were roaring.
