The first time I drove highway 395 in California from the Tahoe region to southern California I was awestruck by the mile upon mile wall of Sierra Mountains rising from the arid Owen’s Valley. Here are some of the peaks you see along the way.

I came back to this location (above) on the Owen’s River another morning hoping for more clouds and color. I didn’t find it, however I was able to capture full moon setting.
