I was honored with several contest winners at the 2023 San Diego Fair. Here are some of them.

Mountain Revealed, San Diego, November 2019
1st Place in Waterscapes
This was a magical morning. I was thoroughly enjoying taking photos of these willow in the lake shrouded in fog. As the morning progressed, the fog cleared, revealing the snow covered mountains above the low-lying clouds. This is part of collection called Winter Willows which you can see here.

1st Place in Winter
This is an often photographed scene. I was determined to figure out where it was taken. It took me several years and multiple trips to the Eastern Sierra. Using google maps and the what the mountains looked like as I drove by, I was finally able to figure it out. It was a fun puzzle to solve.

  6. Some are already in calendars. Woodland Symphony was in the 2022 calendar, California Vistas. Bend in the River is in the current year’s calendar for the month of December. Thank you!
