Scotland #3 – Isle of Skye

On our way to Isle of sky, we stopped at an area near Ben Nevis. We were going to go to some waterfalls, but we made so many stops along the way that we didn’t have time. We took pictures of these waterfalls right along the road. Nearby is a mountain called Ben Nevis, which is the highest peak in the UK at 4413 feet.

The next day, we were on the Isle of Skye and started by exploring the Quiraing. Low clouds covered the peaks, so we couldn’t see the tops, but the walk was beautiful and a lot of fun. The sun tried to break through several times, adding to the atmosphere. This shot captures one of those moments.

It was quite a steep climb to reach an area near the rock formation called the Needle. The path was steep and loose, but I managed to make it up and go behind the Needle to a popular photography spot. At the time, however, it was largely shrouded in mist.

The next day was mostly rainy, so we took a drive to explore the island. Along one of the roads, we found clusters of beautiful trees, and further down, some sheep standing around their tree.
