The first time I drove highway 395 in California from the Tahoe region to southern California I was awestruck by the mile upon mile wall of Sierra Mountains rising from the arid Owen’s Valley. Here are some of the peaks you see along the way.
I came back to this location (above) on the Owen’s River another morning hoping for more clouds and color. I didn’t find it, however I was able to capture full moon setting.

Love the Eastern Sierra mountains with snow. It’s great you capture them in early morning light before too many shadows.
Mount Tom reminds me of the Paramount films mountain seen in the beginning. Thanks for sharing God’s created natural beauty with us.

Thanks for your comments. It is easier to capture sunrise or pre-sunrise photos in the winter when the sunrises at 7am.
